EVENT MANAGEMENT// EVISU HOTROD SS2013 FASHION SHOW AND AFTER PARTY
Edgy jeans brand Evisu unleashed their super-charged Spring-Summer collection to a packed house in Shanghai, with Pure responsible for everything from the initial concept to the final electrifying execution.
Visceral neon and industrial chop-shop design touches decked out the space, dominated by an epic two-tiered stage crafted in neon and scaffold. Local rock bands Banana Monkey and F&F got the crowds revved up, while live tattooists produced temporary custom body art. Also in the mix, secretive British graffiti artist INSA sprayed a provocative new piece of art onto the wall, while mixologists from sponsors Belvedere vodka worked up to-die-for cocktails that went alongside specially-prepared 'gourmet junk food'.
After the mind-blowing fashion show featuring out-of-this world custom video mapping, movie star Edison Chen waltzed on to the stage to charm attendees and promote his on-going collaboration with the brand. A wild VJ-led after party ensued sending guests into a Belvedere-fuelled frenzy.
EVENT MANAGEMENT// ADIDAS ORIGINALS X OPENING COLLECTION LAUNCH
To ceremoniously celebrate the latest collaboration between Adidas and Opening Ceremony at the Adidas Flagship Store on Nanjing Lu, the Pure team overhauled the space with a fabulous pop-up store.
To the sounds of DJ Maxime (stopping in Shanghai on the way from Singapore to LA!), guests could check out live models premiering the collection as well as get their pictures taken at Polaroid photo frame spots located throughout the space. Mega-sized candy dispensers decked out in the new collection colours provided sweet treats for guests stepping in to watch the show.
EVENT MANAGEMENT// TREFFERT EXHIBITION AND APPRECIATION DINNER
When wood coating specialists Treffert came to Pure looking to revamp their usual event programme, we put together an exhibition-appreciation dinner hybrid that kept guests occupied from the early afternoon to way into the evening.
Attendees started their journey in a business lounge-style exhibition space featuring live demonstrations and a range of cutting-edge product displays. Over dinner, guests were introduced to the latest Tai Chi System product, a coating that gives flooring miraculous 'self-healing' properties. To tell this story in style, Pure put together a specially-choreographed STOMP dance number using Treffert buckets and barrels on a Treffert-coated stage to fully illustrate the product's amazing ability.
EVENT MANAGEMENT// UNILEVER BEAUTY CONFERENCE FOR DOVE
One of two events managed by Pure on March 6th was the Dove beauty products segment of Unilever's massive beauty conference in Suzhou.
On an epic 50m wide stage, Pure pulled out all the stops to orchestrate a line-up that included a custom-choreographed 'Dove Muse' modern dance piece, an all-girls band strumming "My Favourite Things", live product demonstrations and The Voice China runner-up Hou Zuxing singing classic love ballad "You're Beautiful". Pure's video mavens also put together a constant stream of Pandora-mapped animated content to cover the huge layered backdrop to complete a seamlessly run show.
EVENT MANAGEMENT// SANDVIK R&D CENTRE GROUNDBREAKING ZHENJIANG
Several members of the Pure team found themselves in Zhenjiang, an ancient town famous for its vinegar, to mark the start of construction for Swedish industrial giant Sandvik's new strategic R&D centre. A large swathe of outdoor space was transformed with Sandvik branding to accommodate a 300-strong audience in celebration of the groundbreaking ceremony. In the evening, Sandvik employees convened at an ancient-Sweden themed banquet complete with candlabras, court jesters and interactive team-building activities.
EVENT MANAGEMENT// ADIDAS ORIGINALS X JEREMY SCOTT POP-UP STORE
Adidas' des-res store on Nanjing Lu saw a major overhaul to premiere their latest Jeremy Scott collection, with Pure plastering his zany and outlandish totem motifs everywhere, from floor to ceiling! An Adidas-clad indie-spining DJ became an eye-grabbing window display, alongside banner-toting models sporting Scott's signature pieces. A bright blue popcorn-dealing rickshaw and face-in-the-hole photo board provided visitors with added entertainment as they checked out the awesome new line.
EVENT MANAGEMENT// ADIDAS ORIGINALS BLUE EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW, SHANGHAI
The fashion-forward and fashion-hungry came together for a tantalizing sneak-peek event put together by Pure. Under the central concept of a 'Pop-Up Party', the event location was invaded with inventive installations of the key pieces, subtle branding and design-centric decor modifications. Robotic attire displays, an interactive blackboard and a VJ-led fashion presentation came together to ensure an electrifying introduction to the innovative, premium collection.
EVENT MANAGEMENT// SEMIR WORLDWIDE FASHION VIDEO PREMIERE AND FASHION SHOW, ZHENGZHOU
Under ultra-tight security, hordes of devoted fans crowded at the event venue to catch a glimpse of Korean superstar Lee Minho, while lucky invitees were able to witness an exclusive catwalk presentation as well as the premiere of Semir's latest fashion video. An interactive photo booth (offering the chance to get on-stage with Minho!) kept the audience fixated before his electrifying appearance. Team Pure brought their brains and passion to the task, handling the overall design & creative, security and local authority facilitation, fashion show choreography and styling, model casting, set production, AV control and much more! Even as far as Zhengzhou in Henan province Pure managed to bring the magic touch, furthermore still guaranteeing impeccable quality.
Holding a fantastic event isn't always easy, but doing the same event three times in three different cities to the same standards is a whole different ballgame! Traveling from Shanghai to Guangzhou to Beijing, several eager Minds from Pure took InterContinental Hotel Group's internal meeting series to the next level, creating a pop-up check-in desk and interactive photo backdrop, then managing the overall event flow.
Launching Kraft's newest product for the China market, "ridiculously long-lasting" chewing gum Stride also meant bringing in "ridiculously professional" event magicians Pure to help make sure it landed with a bang! Over 400 freshman students and media tried their hand at a range of long-lasting challenges, from suspending themselves from sticky walls to surfing on a stick of gum! Emerging from a giant pack of gum, fresh-faced star Ke Zhendong then came on the scene to congratulate the longest-lasting challengers. Altogether a ridiculously successful event!
EVENT MANAGEMENT// CENTRAL THAI FESTIVAL, CHENGDU, SHENYANG, HANGZHOU
To organize an event in one city can be difficult, but to organize events simultaneously in three cities is something different altogether! Putting on show-stopping events for Central Department Stores in Chengdu, Hangzhou and Shenyang over the October Golden Week Holiday meant combining a plethora of elements, from hosting Thai royalty and pop icons, to arranging several cultural spectacles like food carving, dance performances and South-East Asia's most premier ladyboys.
Amarin Seminyak Bali is a brand new boutique luxury hotel coming soon to Indonesia's prized tourist destination. Pure was brought in to boost the visual communications for the investor engagement phase of this development, putting together a sharp-looking brochure that echoed both the refined and glamorous brand accents of the hotel. Both the brochure design and copy writing for the document were carried out for this project, with Pure later being brought back for translation and printing work.

CHINA PRODUCTION CONSULTATION Pure was enlisted by luxury Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta in their mission to secure top-of-the-line, reliable in-store marketing materials and POSM for the China market. A slew of tasks including identifying and testing potential suppliers alongside logistical planning for site visits throughout Mainland China and Hong Kong enabled Bottega Veneta to successfully secure vendors to produce and deliver large quantities to exact specifications, with Pure constantly on-hand to ensure consistent quality and punctuality.
ART EXHIBITION DESIGN AND PRODUCTION Bottega Veneta's fabulous flagship store located in the booming North Bund area includes a refined gallery space on its second floor. With the opening of its first exhibition - a thought-provoking showcase of contemporary photography from the regions neighbouring Shanghai - Pure came in to assist on the production of the space set-up, as well as the printed collateral to compliment the artwork.
KOREA AND JAPAN PRODUCTION CONSULTATION Following on from a successful operation to localise marketing material production in China and Hong Kong, Pure was engaged again to perform similar services for the Korea and Japan markets. A lengthy sourcing phase was followed by site visits to key potential suppliers and partners throughout the two countries before making the final selection process.
VOGUE FASHION NIGHT OUT STORE SET UP In order to celebrate the hotly-anticipated Vogue Fashion Night Out event, Pure worked closely with Bottega Veneta's merchandising team to create a special window installation to celebrate the occasion, adding specially-produced decorations to three of their Shanghai stores.
BRANDING & VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS // HOUSE OF CAMELLIA, SHANGHAI
Providing logo and collateral design as well as branding consultation, Pure was instrumental in ensuring children's luxury fashion brand House of Camellia landed with a splash in the Chinese market. Pure then went on to manage and direct the first fashion shoot to create further promotional materials including a glorious Look Book, before securing a large spread in a top fashion magazine to further boost the PR return for the brand's launch phase.
