Gary Tan is China veteran with countless successful art, design and experiential projects under his belt. He continues to flex his talents as a leading Artist, Showrunner and Creative Director.
As an artist he held several exhibitions in both China and his native Malaysia, and continues to play a role in the contemporary arts scenes of Shanghai and New York. He has also brought his creative flair and impeccable eye to play for a range of brands in the world of creative experiences, designs and content. With over a decade of formal experience, including roles in retail and communications agencies, Gary has earned a reputation as a master of exceptional brand moments, pop-ups, concerts and campaigns.
From intimate groups of extra-special opinion leaders and celebrities to massive gatherings of thousands, he has led creative projects for covetable names including adidas Originals, BMW, Daniel Arsham Studio, Flabjacks, Levi's and McDonald’s.Gary is like a walking Babelfish, speaking fluent English, Malay and several Chinese dialects including Mandarin, Hakka, Cantonese and Hokkien.
Scott Goodfellow / Experiential Director
With experience working in China dating back nearly twenty years, with stints in both the agency world and the European Union Chamber of Commerce, Scott has developed a keen sense of the marketing and events field in application to a wide berth of industries.
A founding partner of Pure, Scott has managed a host of time-and-detail sensitive projects including massive regional events for Converse, Pepsi, Nike, Peppa Pig, Heineken...the list is endless. His events have featured international luminaries from Italian President Romano Prodi to footballer David Beckham. As well as a slew of management responsibilities, he heads up Pure’s English copywriting and is a key figure in the strategic and creative planning process.Conversational in English, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, he is a graduate of the University of Leicester in the UK in Film & Visual Arts.
Jiang Li / Operations Director A trained legal professional, Jiang Li lends her considerable experitise to the smooth running of Pure, overseeing financial and HR concerns as well as a keen eye on all legal matters and contractual arrangements.
Jim Ding / Art Director
A graduate from Shanghai Jiaotong University in Graphics Management, Jim Ding has garnered over 10 years of industry experience, leading design teams at the HQs of B&Q and Central Department Stores.
In this time he has proven himself a master of creating perception-altering designs for a range of applications. He has produced designed for brands including Lancome, Mengniu, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft and too many more to mention. In 2006 he co-authored a book on graphic design, of which he is happy to sign copies at client meetings.
