There's pretty much nothing better looking in this world than a Bottega Veneta Cabat bag. For a special preview of their classic Cabat collection, Pure came in to coordinate the setting up of the exhibition, handling the detailed production items that allowed the bags to be showcased as they deserve.
For one day only, Pure's Shanghai studio received an overhaul under the apparent curatorship of none other than Andy Warhol. Friends who flocked over were treated to an array of quirky goings on around the office, including a flavour tripping installation where they could try pills of Synsepalum Dulcificum, a naturally-occurring fruit that makes sour things taste sweet!
Other gastronomic pleasures included three different bottled cocktails inspired by Warhol Superstars, most notably the Ultraviolet Vodka Tonic which takes advantage of the quinine in tonic water that glows under ultraviolet light. This went alongside a buffet of fresh barbecue goodies, salads from Sproutworks and a few ethnic specialities thrown in for good measure.
When they weren't lounging in our studio garden, guests were encouraged to steal a t-shirt from the pop-up T-shirt gallery or spill the beans in the Confession Room. Spanning from the afternoon to late into the night, it was about as close as you could get to The Factory or Studio 54 this far away from New York!
When the work requires working through the night to make things as good as they should be, a DJ really can save a life.

Under the claim “Come in swimwear, leave dressed in Desigual”, more than 350 people in Tokyo joined the worldwide famous sales party, held for the very first time in Asia.
Tokyo, June 24th – DESIGUAL, the international fashion brand based in Barcelona, held last Saturday for the very first time in Asia its world-famous sales event “Seminaked Party by Desigual” at the Desigual flagship store in Tokyo, Japan.
From Friday in the evening, people were already starting to line up outside the entrance of the store to become one of the first 100 people to participate in the exciting sales event. By Saturday morning, a total number of 350 people had rushed to the DESIGUAL flagship store making a line that went all the way down the street.
From 10am to 11am, with many having 'overnighted' outside the store, the luckiest 100 participants dressed in swimwear gained exclusive access inside the store and chose two free Desigual pieces each. DESIGUAL served to all those standing outside a heartfelt breakfast snack – Spanish typical sweet fried “churros” – and Vitamin water to ease the waiting time.
Although not all were successful in getting the free outfit prizes, all attendants enjoyed the fun party atmosphere and decided to join the event afterwards, taking advantage of the first day of the store's discount sales.
